Statement

Tash  is an aroace autistic artist,  trading as T’Balderdash

Their art is inspired by nature. Walking in the countryside has done so much good for their mental health. Most images are from photographs taken during these countryside walks, especially from the Yorkshire Dales.

Their preference is for birds and sheep. Tash's favourite bird is the lapwing, and their favourite sheep are Swaledale and Herdwick.

They use vivid comic book colouring to create vibrant images, and detailed inking.

All drawings are done on a digital drawing tablet and using Clip Studio Paint. No AI here!

Currently, they are working on a comic called Chased Through Dreams.

Each image is made from various layers

• Sketch layer. Rough image outline

• Inking layer. They use "Hard Inking Brush" from Clip Studio Assets, usually using two different sizes

• Colouring layers. The comic colouring style is done by creating a rotated layer of dots for each colour and changing the density.
